ANTHEM | Short-Term Disability (STD)*
Short Term Disability (STD) income replacement protects you if you are temporarily disabled due to an accident, sickness or pregnancy. Avanath pays for this coverage, offered through Anthem. If you experience a temporary disability, benefits begin 1 day after the start of your accident and 8 days if you become disabled due to a sickness or pregnancy. Short Term Disability works with Social Security and any other group disability coverage, to provide you with a combined weekly benefit. Please refer to your Ease portal for full plan details.
*Please note Short Term Disability benefit are excluded in statutory states
(CA, HI, NJ, NY, RI).
ANTHEM | Long-Term Disability (LTD)
Long Term Disability (LTD) income replacement protects you if you are disabled for an extended period of time. Avanath pays for this coverage, offered through Anthem. If you become totally and permanently disabled, benefits begin 180 days after the start of your illness or injury. Long Term Disability works with State Disability, Social Security and any other group disability coverage, to provide you with a combined monthly benefit.
